My perspective is shaped by 15+ years leading innovation, R&D, and strategic programmes at senior level, across organisations spanning consultancies, industry, and the not-for-profit sector. I hold a PhD in Computational Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, and have built my career translating dense technical, scientific, and market landscapes into strategic narratives that boards act on — as Head of Innovation & Technology at Cornelius Group, as a trusted advisor to global R&D clients at Oakland Innovation, Sagentia Innovation and Qliksteps, and as a Business Manager driving strategic planning and executive reporting at Alzheimer's Society. Across research, commercial, and operational functions, I have helped senior stakeholders make sense of scientific and technical complexity, sharpen strategic priorities, and build the internal clarity needed to act with confidence.
That background shapes how I coach. I bring a way of thinking that is both technically grounded and strategically focused, working with leaders on the patterns, often unconscious, that shape how they make decisions, lead teams, and hold up under pressure as their companies scale. This is behavioural coaching grounded in commercial reality, not therapy and not generic leadership development: the same rigour I brought to advising boards on technology and business strategy, applied to the leader making the call.
I am trained by the Institute for Coaching Mastery, a year-long certification program accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
I founded Nexlumis™ to bring these two strands of my career, strategic advisory and executive coaching, together under one practice, for leaders who need both a sharper read on their business and a clearer read on themselves.
My work centres on how strategic vision translates into organisational alignment and the human dynamics that determine whether a brilliant strategy actually lands.
